Tal vez les sorprenderán a algunos las declaraciones de Javier Aparicio Maydeu en el video de 20 años del Máster en Edición de la UPF impartido en el IDEC. Pero hemos encontrado un ejemplo más de esta afirmación: Blinu es una realidad desde hace año y medio. Blinu nació en Argentina de manos de un equipo de informáticos dirigidos por Jorge Bocco. Lo que la diferencia es : que Blinu hace que cada editorial/escritor venda desde su propio sitio web y cobre en forma directa a su cliente, utilizando por ejemplo su cuenta de e-commerce. Así, reciben el 100% de la venta y al instante y además la gente lee desde el mismo sitio web de la editorial/escritor, con lo cualel sitio termina siendo la tienda y el lugar de lectura para sus seguidores, y así no perder identidad frente a su mercado.
Como el mismo nos aseguró en una conexión por Skype ellos recogen el contenido de las empresas afiliadas a Blinu y se encargan de la distribución de estos contenidos. Una distribución que puede ser desde gratuita hasta pagada según los deseos del cliente que se acerca a la plataforma. Todo se sirve desde la nube en el formato en streaming. Pagas por descargarte el contenido o por consultarlo. Solo requiere registrarse. La plataforma Blinu también ofrece el servicio Paywall, que en palabras simples significa poder vender suscripciones para acceder a las páginas de un sitio web, tal como ya lo añadieron algunos diarios de Estados Unidos. Blinu es también una de las únicas plataformas que aplican Análisis Semántico sobre los contenidos leídos por el cliente.
Blinu se constituye así en una solución para los que editan o crean en países distintos a los que se puede distribuir con la plataforma: por el momento los idiomas que admite la plataforma es el inglés, castellano y portugués.
Tal vez, nos preguntamos, si tras el auge de la autopublicación ahora con estas plataformas de distribución de contenidos se romperán las fronteras de las creaciones literarias ya que llegarán a lectores de otros países sin mediar contratos de edición y por tanto se estará dando otra vuelta de tuerca al mercado editorial. ¿Oportunidad o crisis editorial? Como siempre la realidad es de los que ven la botella medio llena.
